From the airport to the city the best option (price-quality-eco balance) is to take the train

At the Vienna Airport Railway Station, you can take one of these trains:
a) The Regional Express (REX) 7 in direction of Wien Floridsdorf
b) The “Schnellbahn” S7 in direction of Wien Floridsdorf
→You should get off the train at the Wien Praterstern station.
From Praterstern you have to take the subway U2 and get off at Schottentor (see map). Your
hotels should be at a walking distance from there.
Cost: 4.30€
Tickets can be bought:
a) in the arrival hall when you exit baggage claim on the left, before going down to the
station
b) At the vending machines before going down to the platform
c) At the vending machines at the platform before taking the train

at ‘dep’ type in “VIE (Vienna International Airport)”, at ‘arr’ type in “Wien Praterstern
Bahnhof (U)”.

Private Transportation from the Airport
Should you need a taxi or a limousine, we recommend to book it online 2-3 days in advance.
The cost varies and can go up to 50-60€ easily.
The costs from/to the airport with “airport-driver” are 38€ one way. The trip has to be pre-
booked: https://www.airportdriver.at. Depending on the time of travel and accordingly traffic,
it takes 30 – 50 minutes.tour."

CAT (City Airport Train)
Arriving at the airport you will see a lot of advertisement for the privately-operated CAT. It will
take you to “Wien Mitte” within 16 minutes. We do NOT recommend it (because of logistics
and price) and the time-saving is not that relevant.
Mobility in the city
Single trip tickets cost 2.40€ and can be bought at vending machines or vending offices. At
Schottentor there are both vending machines and a vending office.

 

From the main railway station to the venue:

From Vienna Main Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof Ost S) take tram D (direction Nußdorf) and get off at

Schottentor U. It takes approximately 30 minutes and the single ticket is 2,40€.
